Braxton County Rack Card Examples

Below see 4″ by 9″ rack cards that the Braxton County CVB has design/produced for Braxton County, West Virginia. If a line is present near the board of the image, this was the cut line. Outside of this line is what’s known as the full bleed. This line is not present in the final product.

General guidelines that we recommend for rack card design:

  • Eye-catching photo which fills the entire front of card.
  • Top header on front explains the attractions rather than naming it. Keep in mind, rack cards will likely be advertising to a brand new audience. Telling them why they want to visit first, rather then telling them what the attractions is helps to foster engagement and grab attention.
  • Brands/logos/names should appear on the bottom of the front side. Those things are important, but only after a potential customer has decided they need what the card is “selling.”
  • Basic contact or location information should appear on the front, near the bottom of the front. Can be repeated on the back as well.
  • Side 2 is where potential visitors or customer will find more detailed information and possibly more photos.
  • Top of side 2 is a good place to reiterate the brand/logo/name which is displayed on the bottom front side.
  • Side 1 is for grabbing attention, side 2 is for information. No amount of information will matter without at first enticing the reading to pick up the rack card in the first place.
