1628 Bakers Run Road, Sutton, WV 26601

Come to Bakers Run Campground at Sutton Lake in Braxton County, just 15 miles from Sutton, W.Va. The campground has 77 sites, with a quarter of them on the waterfront. Eight sites offer full water and electric hook-ups, and 26 others have electric hookups. Each site has a table, fire ring and blacktop pad for campers. Pets are welcome in Bakers Run Campground although they must remain on a leash. There is a host in the campground to assist campers.

Sutton Lake and its many recreation facilities are operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. It is located in one of the most beautiful places in West Virginia.

Fishing is excellent for bass, crappie, catfish, bluegill and walleye. It’s also great for boating, including pontoon boats, kayaks, canoes or anything that floats. There is a launch ramp in the campground and an extended “no wake” zone. For more speed, there are 14 miles of lake between Bakers Run Campground and Sutton Dam.

If you’re not on the water, there is a playground, with sliding boards and swings for the kids, and horseshoe pits, beanbag toss, volleyball and basketball for older visitors. There are trails for hiking and roads for biking. ATVs are not permitted on state or federal at Sutton Lake – however, Bakers Run Campground is close to many miles of dirt or gravel county roads. Whatever your sport, there are hot showers waiting at the end of an exciting day outdoors.
